At its core, Proem Ministries connects people to the hope and freedom of Jesus, transforming lives and communities across Poland and Eastern Europe. They achieve this through Christian camps, education, church planting, and outreach. Trinity's Stuttgart campus sends teams to provide gifts for Ukrainian families at the holidays, and other Trinity campuses participate in Proem's weeklong mission trips.
Rebekah Orlando recently visited Proem with other Trinity Members:
"There were many unknowns as we headed to serve in Poland. And when we got there, Proem Ministry leaders intentionally chose to reveal our daily project assignments each morning. At first, that uncertainty produced great anxiety within me, but I soon discovered it was a gift I didn’t know I needed.
Throughout the week, I was sent to several different projects. The first few days were spent renovating the apartment of a Russian musician. As we worked alongside him to restore his small apartment, his joy over the simple gift of fresh paint on his walls was contagious. The next few days, I had the privilege of spending time with children from Ukraine, many of whom carried the effects of trauma from the war. My final assignment was serving at an orphanage, where children ranging from ages 1 to 17 welcomed us with excitement and kindness.
Despite the busyness of each day, I found my soul settling into a stillness that often feels foreign back home. In His kindness, God used Proem’s intentionality to reveal a different way of living—one where I could focus on what God had entrusted to me today instead of carrying the weight and fears of tomorrow.
Proem’s intentionality was evident not only when they revealed our project assignments, but also in who they sent us to serve alongside. More than 200 volunteers from 16 different churches gathered to serve, yet rather than keeping us in our own church groups, Proem purposely mixed us together. Serving alongside brothers and sisters from across the country became a beautiful reminder of the unity we share in Christ. In every conversation and every project, our hearts remained fixed on the mission before us: sharing the love and joy of Jesus.
I hope to return next year and serve with Proem Ministries again. But for now, I am carrying the lessons I learned there into my daily life here. When our hearts are no longer consumed by tomorrow, we become available for the mission God has placed before us and the people around us. So each morning, my prayer is becoming: 'Lord, what are you calling me to today?'"
