When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we’re much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It’s then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try.
In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, you can join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.
Live worship, video study and small groups. Childcare available with registration

None Like Him by Jen Wilken
Location: Princess Anne Campus, The Abbey located in the office suite in the gym
Date/Time: Thursdays 6 pm, 10 weeks beginning January 9, 2020
Facilitator: Kate Brenner
"None Like Him: 10 Ways God Is Different from Us (and Why That's a Good Thing", God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible.
Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone. Calling us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power, Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God.
Childcare available through the Y "Stay 'n Play"; Register and purchase the study book online for $14.
