Women's Bible Studies

Tuesday AM – Downtown Norfolk Campus

Better by Jen Wilkin

Location: Cathy Sherill's Home
Day/Time: Tuesday, April 19 to June 21, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Facilitator: Cathy Sherrill
Participants must bring their own book

In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

Tuesday AM – Stuttgart Campus

First Corinthians by Melissa Spoelstra

Location: Jess Yuhas' Home - Patch Barracks
Day/Time: Tuesday, June 14 to July 19, 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Facilitator: Anja Ohlrogge

In this six-week First Corinthians study, we will explore Paul's first letter to the Corinthians to learn how we as Christians are to deal with differences and divisions — whether in the workplace, neighborhood, school, home, social media community, or church. We'll discover that the answer is living and sharing the radical love of Jesus Christ, and we'll unpack what this means and how we can live it out day by day.

Wednesday AM – Oceanfront Campus

Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God by Mark Batterson

Location: Keith Dozier's Home
Day/Time: Wednesdays, June 29 to July 6, 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Facilitator: Keith Dozier
Participants must bring their own book

Does God still speak? If so, how can we hear him---and understand what he's saying---over the noise of everyday life? Through clear biblical teaching and vivid storytelling, Batterson explores seven key languages God uses. Discover how to tune into, turn up, and follow his voice as you seek his guidance in big and small decisions.
